The anticipated salary range for this role is between $166,000.00 and $203,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC MANUBANK offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead our infrastructure team. You will be responsible for managing the team, cross-functional collaboration with peers, PMO, set technical directions, be hands-on, own execution and delivery. This role will focus on overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure to ensure security, high performance, scalability, and reliability, cloud cost etc.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, manage and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers specializing in GCP.

• Being remote team, you will build solid remote team culture, accountability, what it takes to build high-performing team.

• You will be part of hiring process, goal setting, performance review(s)/feedback, code review(s), overall team management, leadership communication etc.

• You will be a accountable and responsible for key business facing delivery, PI planning, agile delivery/ceremony, building new process/process improvement(s).

• Being a horizontal team, you will collaborate extensively with Architecture, InfoSec, GRC (GovernanceRiskCompliance), Audit, Product, and Engineering teams, PMO to develop and deliver solid cloud infrastructure.

• Manage project priorities and product deliveries. Drive technical initiatives from execution toward delivery.

• Implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, and compliance.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability.

• Challenge status quo and find better ways to-do things, bring in efficiencies, industry leading innovation etc.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.

• Stay up to date with the latest GCP features, services, and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies.

• 2+ years of experience leading and managing high performing teams.

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services focused on Data Platform. e.g. Composer, BigQuery, DataFlow, DataProc GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Firewall, IAP etc.

• Higher degree of proficiency in Terraform - Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Security is paramount and hence solid security experience with leading tools such as Wiz, SCC, Snyk etc. and lead Infrastructure GRC, Audit.

• Experience with Vertex AI suite of service(s), if any past experience of building production grade AI system is an added advantage.

• Cloud Networking, VPN, SDWAN, NAT GW, FireWall etc.

• Cloud Cost management.

• Proven leadership and management skills, with experience leading engineering teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.

• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
