This position is located at Mercy Pittsburg Under general supervision, the Sterile Processing Instrument Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, testing, assembling, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions, hospital policies, and departmental procedures. This includes: Performing decontamination, high-level disinfection, and sterilization processes. Ensuring all instruments are free of bioburden and function properly before use. Accurately documenting all processes and equipment usage in written logs and/or computer systems. Prioritizing instrument processing, answering phones, and coordinating the dispatch of instruments, equipment, and supplies. Upholding Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards. Performing other duties as assigned.
