Overview

Clinical Informatics Analyst II Clinical Informatics/Information Solutions (Hybrid-Remote). The Clinical Informatics Analyst II reports to the Manager of Clinical Informatics and collaborates with end users and Information Solutions (IS) to design and deploy clinical informationtechnologies that support safe and efficient patient care for large strategic initiatives. The role performs intermediate to moderately complex technical and analytical work to support clinical information systems and mentors junior staff in acquiring informatics skills. The position partners with Senior Informatics leaders and the clinical enterprise in planning, design, development, training, implementation, and project management of Information Systems.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with end users and IS to design and deploy clinical information technologies that support safe, efficient patient care.
  • Perform intermediate to moderately complex technical and analytical work to support clinical information systems.
  • Mentor junior staff and facilitate the acquisition of informatics skills.
  • Participate in planning, design, development, training, implementation, and project management of Information Systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college/university in a professional health care discipline (e.g., Registered Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology, Respiratory or Occupational or Physical Therapy, or Pharmacy) required for hires on or after March 1, 2014; Masters degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience and two (2) years of clinical informatics experience (developing, implementing and/or supporting clinical information systems).
  • Epic Certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer; industry-certified informatics/IT certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer. Project management experience preferred; PMP and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Active licensure in a clinical discipline by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state; valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience with IT and healthcare-related informatics systems and the ability to manage projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking; climb stairs; work indoors and outside; operate in varied environments; and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted on occasion.
  • Visual and hearing requirements to perform duties; ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required; ability to work in a latex-safe environment and maintain tactile sensory functions.
