Process Engineer

What You'll Do
As a Process Engineer, you will support site manufacturing operations and cost reduction for Carthage, MO location's competitiveness through strong change leadership and application of business improvement tools. Other duties include:
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations
- Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Limited Values
- Increase site productivity, partnering with site management team, by implementing standard work, line balancing, and removing bottlenecks.
- Establish baseline, develop measures/targets, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Identify and implement framework and strategy to reduce waste and improve quality, directly impacting the site costs.
- Use technical know-how for making time studies, material/man/information flows, layouts, etc. for identifying improvements. Lead and/or implement these improvements ensuring controls in place for sustaining results.
- Responsible for mechanical design and drafting
- Employ hands-on approach to data collection, analysis, recommendations of opportunities, and implementation.
- Introduce innovative ideas and technologies and be a change agent to effectively implement and sustain.
- Ensure and/or support compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations; Support compliance with ISO 9001-2008.
- Support daily operational needs as required by our operating model.
What We're Looking For:
- BS Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or have comparative level of experience
- 5+ years of experience from manufacturing operations, mechanical manufacturing desired.
- Experience driving manufacturing projects for minimum of 3 years and fluent at training others with these tools
- Experience with mechanical design and drafting - CAD experience is desired
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
- Computer literacy in MS Windows. Experience with SAP and Minitab a plus.
