Description:

Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for equipment, acting as the first level of escalation for lower-level technicians. You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical and mechanical malfunctions by inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle and rebuild machinery, equipment, and field devices to access and remove defective parts.
  • Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Lead the PdM program, perform repairs, verify findings from lower technicians, and provide trend reports.
  • Utilize prints, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts catalogs as needed.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures using various tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, control field devices, and other electrical components.
  • Mentor junior technicians and peers, providing motivation and guidance.
  • Review and complete work orders timely.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments.
  • Complete daily reports outlining maintenance or repairs conducted.
  • Participate in root cause analysis events.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Support all safety, food quality, and sanitation initiatives.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance technician skills.
  • Mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics expertise.
  • Experience with 3 phase electrical systems.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience for Level 2 candidates.
  • 7+ years of experience, repair, preventive maintenance, HVAC, and PLC troubleshooting for Level 3 candidates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Mentoring and training of maintenance team members.
  • Coordination with Plant Management to establish maintenance schedules.
  • Providing own tools.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Frontenac, KS.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $50,000.00 - $70,000.00/yr. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, wellness programs, financial security, time off, career development, and additional perks.
