ERP Financial Systems Manager

Description:

Collinwood is assisting our client, a well-known and respected healthcare non-profit, in their effort to hire a Manager for their Financial ERP Systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a technology and finance professional to lead, innovate, and deliver transformative solutions within the finance applications landscape. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of (Oracle) Finance, EPM, SCM, Analytics, and Reporting applications. This role requires a strong background in IT and financial systems, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and manage a team of technical and systems analysts, providing direction, coaching, and professional development.
  • Oversee the administration, support, and optimization of Finance, Supply Chain, EPM, and related ERP and non-ERP applications.
  • Develop and maintain an IT and applications roadmap aligned with business objectives and technology strategies.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand needs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure operational excellence in system availability, reliability, and support-particularly during critical financial close cycles.
  • Maintain application integrity, architecture standards, and documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Oversee release and deployment management processes for Finance systems.
  • Lead vendor selection, RFP processes, contract negotiations, and implementation initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration, engagement, and performance within the team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Serve as a hands-on technical and functional leader, guiding the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system configurations, upgrades, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, change management, and IT governance best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders, providing visibility into system performance, risks, and project updates.
What we need from you:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT applications development, support, and delivery.
  • Strong technical and functional knowledge of one or more ERP platforms, such as Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Oracle EPM, or Oracle FDI.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience implementing and supporting ERP modules in Financials, SCM, EPM, Fixed Assets, or Analytics.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in two or more ERP areas (e.g., SQL, reporting, integrations/APIs, architecture, data conversion, security, release management, or testing).
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on service excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Experience collaborating with Oracle support, system integrators, and third-party vendors.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, change management, and IT audit and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to research, evaluate, and implement innovative technology solutions that drive organizational transformation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, or JD Edwards.
  • Strong techno-functional expertise in ERP environments, including implementation and ongoing support.
  • Project management and people management experience strongly preferred.
