Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their thriving Real Estate Finance Practice Group, supporting their loan servicing and asset management practice. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with sophisticated institutional lender clients on complex asset management matters across a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
• 3+ years of substantive real estate finance experience in a sophisticated, large law firm setting
• Experience with loan servicing consent transactions, loan modifications and workouts, loan sales, and asset management matters
• Familiarity with CMBS, CRE CLOs, and other securitized lending products preferred
• Ambitious, with a strong drive to excel and contribute to the growth of the national practice
• Soft Skills: Exceptional writing, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as well as a strong ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel institutional lenders on a wide range of commercial real estate loan servicing and asset management matters
• Draft, negotiate, and review consent requests, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, assumption agreements, and related loan documents
• Assist with loan workouts and restructurings, including distressed debt matters
• Advise on loan sales, portfolio assets, and securitized lending transactions
• Conduct detailed due diligence and collaborate closely with finance, tax, and real estate colleagues
• Communicate directly with clients and external stakeholders to advance transactions efficiently and strategically

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $250,000-$390,000, as determined by experience and market factors
• Eligibility for a discretionary bonus
